Three cups of tea
In Three Cups of Tea, by Greg Mortenson, is about a guy named Greg who goes to Korphe, Pakistan and volunteers to build a school for the little kids. After seeing kids write with dirt on little chalkboards and sit on the floor and learn, he felt bad and wanted to build a school for the kids.
He got the money from a friend of his who was dying and promised him to show a picture of the school after it was built before he died. It took him a lot of going back and forth from America to Pakistan because his wife was pregnant and he had to help her. After building the school everyone in Korphe thanked him for his courageous work and he would never be forgotten in Korphe.
This book inspired me to help kids once I grow up  because it made me feel bad that I’m a lucky girl to be going to school while others aren’t able to go to school because they have to help their family. I hope to do something like this one day when I grow up.

Blog post: Fatalism
Do we choose our fate or does fate choose us?
I have researched upon this topic and have found that many philosophers believe fate has already made up our future. We are not the controllers of our lives but fate is. I think that this mainly just depends on the kind of person you are. If you always do the right things, then how is fate choosing for you? Also, if your do bad things all the time then your choosing that for yourself, not fate, nor destiny or any other predestined authority. People do believe that if you do right things the outcomes always good. That’s uncertain because I have been in such positions before. Like when I did something good the outcome comes out bad, but it’s not always like this.so I don’t think fate chooses anything for us because  we always think we are doing the right thing when actually we really could be doing the total opposite. This is what happens,, like sometimes we’ll try to do someone a favor but it was actually not a favor all along and it was the wrong thing to do. So you see fate does not choose for you but instead I think that people just get confused with what is actually right and wrong!

                                                                   Childhood hunger
Childhood hunger is a serious issue! No child should be hungry. This issue deals with millions of children who cannot manage to get food. Children without food will lack nutrition. Without food your body cannot function correctly. So stop ignoring the fact that children are dying due to the cause of food shortages. People can contribute to the hungry; a dollar will give them a lot. We will make a difference in these children’s lives.
These kids are starving and not knowing when their next meal will come. About 15 million children die every year because of hunger. Without food children will become underweight, and they’ll get sick more often. Children who do not get as much of protein and nutrition, they won’t be able to function their bodies. It’s very important that children get energy and food every day, but kids who are hungry will struggle. Lacking food and nutrition can lead to more health issues.
In school when children don’t have food they won’t be able to concentrate. Children who eat will do much better than a child who is hungry. Hunger will affect kids negatively. Especially skipping the most important meal of the day breakfast will bring them down even more. Eating healthy can make a big difference in a child’s work during school. Hunger will strike these children but there are still ways we can prevent that.
Contribute to the hungry, the children need you. Even small amounts of money make a lot of difference for these children. They need food and we need to stop child hunger! It kills not to get the right source of nutrition!
